From
the President
Hello
and welcome to our October newsletter. This month,
we are happy to introduce a new partner, Advanced
Copier, who has been providing our clients with
copiers and multifunction devices. You can find
their contact info below if you are in need. Also,
this quarter, we are making some internal
enhancements to better serve you. Stephanie, our
Client Relations Manager, will be spearheading our
client satisfaction efforts and needs to hear from
you. We will be implementing a new Net Promoter
Score system which will include a two question
survey with room for feedback. I strongly encourage
you to participate. We will be taking feedback very
seriously and making enhancements to address your
needs more closely. Please look for an announcement
from Stephanie shortly. I wish you the best in the
last quarter of the year. Please call or email us
with any of your technology needs at 203-431-1341 or
email us

Controlling Social Media in
the Business Environment
by Courtney Kaufman, Marketing Manager of
Accent Computer
Solutions, Inc.
Everywhere you
turn, you hear something about "Follow us on Twitter," or
"Like my Facebook Page." Social media is a communications
platform that is here to stay, and if you're like many
business owners, you're wondering "what does this mean for
me and my business? How do I use it in my business without
it becoming a distraction?"
Social media should be a part of your business's marketing
plan, and controlling employees' usage on these sites will
help keep them productive instead of allowing them to use
company time for personal interaction.

Protecting your wireless
network
reprinted with permission from the HP Small Business Center
Why wireless
security?
When you have a wireless network, you need to make sure it's
kept secure. An unencrypted network presents the potential
for security breaches.
Wireless
technologies that provide long-range connectivity can't be
contained within an office. When you use a network that's
not secure, hackers could potentially "capture" the
information you're sending back and forth. This means
passwords, records, and more.

Jet
Pilots Don't Use Rear View Mirrors
Because the world is changing rapidly, you need to look

Commercial jets
cruise at about 600 miles per hour, which is the equivalent
of ten miles per minute, or three-and-a-third city blocks
per second. At that speed,
the pilot does not look back. And at the speed at which the
world is changing, you shouldn't look back either. Like a
jet pilot, you need to concentrate on what's up ahead.
